News :Picking Up Extra Shifts During the Holiday Season

The winter months are usually some of the busiest times for both hospitals and healthcare facilities across the United States. When these facilities grow more crowded, additional demand for healthcare personnel arises, bringing with it a greater opportunity for nurses like you to schedule an additional shift or two.

If you think you may be in need of some extra cash during the holidays, there’s no better time than now to start thinking about picking up some extra shifts.

What can a few extra shifts enable you to do? Most nurses work more hours so they can earn supplemental income to take a much-needed vacation or travel to visit family and friends during the holidays. Of course, you can always use the extra income to pay off bills, purchase gifts, or just have spending money for everyday emergencies.

How do you pick up extra shifts? Check with your local Maxim office to find available positions during the holiday season.  You can also inform your nurse manager that you’re available for more shifts, but you can also spread your name around to other units in your hospital or others in your city.
